Ministry Night: To God Be the Glory is an English and Bahasa Malaysia event that was designed solely to glorify God, as the theme declares. More than just an event, it is a call of awakening to the body of Christ, regardless of our denominations, to be involved in the Great Commission by our dear Lord Christ commissioning us to go into the world making disciples and teaching them the way of our Lord. We believe that He has planted us here, in this nation, for one common purpose: to bring in the harvest of souls of Malaysian, into the Kingdom of God.
This is the moment given to us all to be intensely and actively involved in evangelism. People need to see Jesus Christ everywhere, in the public sectors, private sectors, educational institutions, family institutions, community, cities, states and country. How can people see Jesus Christ everywhere? It could happen when the people of God make a stand to live a Christ like life and to boldly share the Gospel with then world outside. We believe that churches in Malaysia have been given the responsibility to save the lost souls in Malaysia and to shape our nation to be a nation that is pleasing to God.
Our intense desire for organizing this event is to see churches in Malaysia, regardless of denominations to be united and actively involved in the venture of evangelism among our fellow countrymen. We believe that, although trials may come along the way, but triumphs will also accompany us, for true is the promise of our dear Lord Jesus Christ that He will be with us until the end of time. Through unity we will be able to withstand the impact of trials and together we will march through it triumphantly.
Performances based on creative arts have been chosen for this event as an expression of the intense desire of the churches to see people to come to know and accept our Lord Christ as their personal Savior. It is hoped that this expression can be made real in our daily lives as we declare the Gospel wherever we are.
Meanwhile the purpose of this event is also to collect funds to support two ministry houses under the care of our church, namely Rumah Misi Puchong and Shechem Home in Shah Alam.
Rumah Misi Puchong has been established under Jabatan Misi dan Kebajikan Gereja Grace Shah Alam (BM) in 2007 as a centre for evangelical and social works in Puchong area. This house has been actively used to shelter the broken homes as well as to nurture kids in the neighborhood. Although still very new, however, the ministry has expanded and therefore it needs continuous support.
On the other hand, Shechem Home, all these years has been a sanctuary for neglected children, orphans, child abuse victim, etc. This is a home where they are nurtured, protected, equipped and educated in the way of our Lord in order to prepare them for future. Concern with the raising needs, we have undertaken to organize this event to raise fund to support this home.
It is our hope that, through this event, these two goals will be achieved. The result is now in the hands of the churches.
