Kisah Kura-Kura

Pada suatu hari, ada 3 ekor kekura (kura-kura) hendak pergi berkelah bersama-sama. Kekura pertama membawa makanan, kekura kedua membawa minuman, sedangkan kekura ketiga tidak membawa apa-apa pun. Di dalam perjalanan tiba-tiba hujan pun turun dengan lebatnya, sehingga mereka tidak boleh meneruskan perjalanan. Kemudian timbul perbualan di antara mereka.

Kekura I: "Ermmm..... salah seekor daripada kita mesti balik untuk amik payung. Siapa yang nak pergi ni?"

Kekura I dan II saling pandang memandang, dan sepakat menuding Kekura III.

Kekura III: "Tak nak lah. Aku jalan lambat dan nanti aku nak sampai sini lagilah terlambat. Pasti korang akan bedal makanan ni semua."

Kekura I & II: Eh Taklah. "Kita orang tunggu sampai engkau datang."

Kekura III: "Betul??? Kalau aku lambat 1 jam?"

Kekura I& II: "Kita orang akan tetap tunggu."

Kekura III: "Kalau 3 jam?"

Kekura I & II: "Kita orang akan tetap tunggu."

Kekura III: "Kalau 1 hari?"

Kekura I & II: "Kita orang akan tetap tunggu."

Kekura III: "3 hari?"

Kekura I & II: "Kita orang akan tetap tunggu."

Kekura III: "5 hari?"

Kekura I & II: "Kita orang akan tetap tunggu."

Kekura III: "1 minggu?"

Kura I & II: "Kita orang akan tetap tunggu."

Kekura III: "2 minggu?"

Kekura I & II: "Kita orang akan tetap tunggu. Engkau pergi je lah."

Dengan berat hati, akhirnya Kekura III pun berangkat. Kekura I & II menunggu dengan setia. Sehari, dua hari dan seminggu telah berlalu.

Kekura III tidak juga balik. Setelah dua minggu berlalu, Kekura I & II sudah tidak dapat menahan lapar.

Kekura I : "Aku dah tak tahan lapar ni. Kita makan je laaaah."

Kekura II: "Aku pun dah nak pengsan ni. Jom kite habiskan makanan ni."

Tiba-tiba Kekura III muncul dari semak dan berseru "Hoi! Nasib baik aku belum pergi lagi. Kalau tak, pasti engkau orang habiskan makanan ni kan ?

kan?!!!"

Kekura I & II : " @#$%^&

Moral of the story: Tepatilah janji anda kerana Tuhan juga tidak pernah melupakan janji Nya kepada kita. Dia pasti mendengar dan menjawab semua doa dan persoalan kita. Amen!

My Two Heroes

These two boys are my nephews. They have grown up now..... i didnt see them for almost a year. :(
Now, Calix is in Bintulu while Marshall is in Labuan. Miss them so much...can't wait to see them.

MINISTRY NIGHT: TO GOD BE THE GLORY
Ministry Night: To God Be the Glory is an English and Bahasa Malaysia event that was designed solely to glorify God, as the theme declares. More than just an event, it is a call of awakening to the body of Christ, regardless of our denominations, to be involved in the Great Commission by our dear Lord Christ commissioning us to go into the world making disciples and teaching them the way of our Lord. We believe that He has planted us here, in this nation, for one common purpose: to bring in the harvest of souls of Malaysian, into the Kingdom of God.

This is the moment given to us all to be intensely and actively involved in evangelism. People need to see Jesus Christ everywhere, in the public sectors, private sectors, educational institutions, family institutions, community, cities, states and country. How can people see Jesus Christ everywhere? It could happen when the people of God make a stand to live a Christ like life and to boldly share the Gospel with then world outside. We believe that churches in Malaysia have been given the responsibility to save the lost souls in Malaysia and to shape our nation to be a nation that is pleasing to God.

Our intense desire for organizing this event is to see churches in Malaysia, regardless of denominations to be united and actively involved in the venture of evangelism among our fellow countrymen. We believe that, although trials may come along the way, but triumphs will also accompany us, for true is the promise of our dear Lord Jesus Christ that He will be with us until the end of time. Through unity we will be able to withstand the impact of trials and together we will march through it triumphantly.

Performances based on creative arts have been chosen for this event as an expression of the intense desire of the churches to see people to come to know and accept our Lord Christ as their personal Savior. It is hoped that this expression can be made real in our daily lives as we declare the Gospel wherever we are.

Meanwhile the purpose of this event is also to collect funds to support two ministry houses under the care of our church, namely Rumah Misi Puchong and Shechem Home in Shah Alam.

Rumah Misi Puchong has been established under Jabatan Misi dan Kebajikan Gereja Grace Shah Alam (BM) in 2007 as a centre for evangelical and social works in Puchong area. This house has been actively used to shelter the broken homes as well as to nurture kids in the neighborhood. Although still very new, however, the ministry has expanded and therefore it needs continuous support.

On the other hand, Shechem Home, all these years has been a sanctuary for neglected children, orphans, child abuse victim, etc. This is a home where they are nurtured, protected, equipped and educated in the way of our Lord in order to prepare them for future. Concern with the raising needs, we have undertaken to organize this event to raise fund to support this home.

It is our hope that, through this event, these two goals will be achieved. The result is now in the hands of the churches.

Consider this scenario:

Father: "I want you to marry a girl of my choice."
Son: "I will choose my own bride!"

Father: "But the girl is Bill Gates' daughter."
Son: "Well, in that case...ok"

Next, Father approaches Bill Gates.
Father: "I have a husband for your daughter."
Bill Gates: "But my daughter is too young to marry!"
Father: "But this young man is a vice-president of the World Bank."
Bill Gates: "Ah, in that case...ok"

Finally, Father goes to see the president of the World Bank.
Father: "I have a young man to be recommended as a vice-president."
President: "But I already have more vice-presidents than I need!"
Father: "But this young man is Bill Gates' son-in-law."
President: "Ah, in that case...ok"

This is how business and office politic is done!

Moral : Even if you have nothing, you can get anything.
But your attitude should be positive :)

Will and Grace of God

Yesterday, I received this email from Sis Josephine. Thanks to her.

Several years ago, a preacher from out-of-state accepted a call to a church in Houston , Texas . Some weeks after he arrived, he had an occasion to ride the bus from his home to the downtown area. When he sat down, he discovered that the driver had accidentally given him a quarter too much change. As he considered what to do, he thought to himself, 'You'd better give the quarter back. It would be wrong to keep it.' Then he thought, 'Oh, forget it, it's only a quarter. Who would worry about this little amount?
Anyway, the bus company gets too much fare; they will never miss it. Accept it as a 'gift from God' and keep quiet.'

When his stop came, he paused momentarily at the door, and then he handed the quarter to the driver and said, 'Here, you gave me too much change.'

The driver, with a smile, replied, 'Aren't you the new preacher in town?'
'Yes' he replied.
'Well, I have been thinking a lot lately about going somewhere to worship. I just wanted to see what you would do if I gave you too much change. I'll see you at church on Sunday.'
When the preacher stepped off of the bus, he literally grabbed the nearest light pole, held on, and said, 'Oh God, I almost sold your Son for a quarter.'

Our lives are the only Bible some people will ever read. This is a really scary example of how much people watch us as Christians, and will put us to the test! Always be on guard -- and remember -- You
carry the name of Christ on your shoulders when you call yourself 'Christian.'

Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.

My Little Ladybird

And the story goes like this.......

Last Saturday, i followed my 'friends' to Melaka.

I sat at the 1st class seat

While waiting for them recording, i started my journey around the studio

while walking around i found a black box. I wonder "what is this black thing?"
I tried to go on top of it.

Hey! i managed to go on top. hehehe..... i was so happy

i tried to go down...

yeaay... i managed as well.

wanna try another round?

i said "lets do it one more time!"

i turned around happily

opps! somehow i knocked into something invisible.

ouch! it was terrible painful

i don't care! i aimed to go up for my second attempt.

Hooray!!! i did it!
My 2nd trial was successful too!

Jadilah Garam Dunia

Sudah lama saya ingin berkongsi renungan ini bersama rakan semua. Hari ini hari pertama bulan Julai dan semoga ia menjadi permulaan yang baik dan memberi sinar baru dalam hidup kita semua.

Ayat bacaan: Matius 5:13

"Kamu adalah garam dunia. Jika garam itu menjadi tawar, dengan apakah ia diasinkan? Tidak ada lagi gunanya selain dibuang dan diinjak orang."

Apakah anda termasuk orang yang hobi memasak? jika ya, tentu anda tahu betapa penting fungsi garam dalam racikan anda. Kalaupun anda tidak suka masak, saya yakin anda setuju garam merupakan bumbu penting. Bayangkan sebuah olah masakan tanpa garam. Hambar kan? Terlalu banyak garam pun akan merusak rasa. Ketika hari ini saya diingatkan akan ajaran Yesus tentang kita sebagai garam dunia, hal inilah yang pertama kali muncul di pikiran saya.

Setelah saya berdoa dan berpikir lebih jauh, ternyata garam bukan hanya berfungsi sebagai penambah cita rasa. Ikan asin misalnya, menunjukkan fungsi garam sebagai pengawet dan pembersih makanan, menghindarkan makanan dari pembusukan. Itu saja? eh, saya tiba2 ingat akan oralit. Garam ternyata juga bisa berfungsi sebagai obat. Oke, memang banyak fungsi garam. Tapi bergunakah garam jika tidak dipergunakan? adakah guna garam jika hanya memenuhi botol tapi tidak pernah dipakai? garam tersebut bisa rusak, basah atau keras dan tidak lagi enak jika disimpan dalam waktu lama. Akhirnya garam hanya bisa dibuang. Garam juga harus keluar dari botolnya dan dipakai. Jika tidak, buat apa garam itu?

Tuhan Yesus tidak sembarangan mengambil perumpamaan garam. Ketika kita disebut sebagai garam dunia, kita diminta sembari tetap dalam proses Roh Kudus untuk menggarami dunia. Buat apa? Supaya dunia yang penuh dengan kekecewaan, kepahitan, penderitaan ini bisa disembuhkan dan siap untuk menerima kedatangan Yesus buat kedua kali. Kita harus mampu membuat dunia sebagai tempat yang lebih baik bagi penduduknya. Wujud kepedulian, cinta kasih, keadilan, kedamaian yang anda beri pada orang2 disekeliling anda akan memberi kesempatan bagi mereka untuk merasakan bagaimana rasanya kerajaan Allah. Dalam contoh ikan asin diatas, kitapun harus mampu membersihkan dan menghindari pembusukan. Kita dipanggil untuk memelihara ciptaan2 Tuhan yang semakin terancam dan rusak. Oralit? ya, kita juga harus mampu memulihkan hubungan2 yang rusak, mendoakan orang2 sakit agar mereka mendapat jamahan Tuhan dan sembuh, memulihkan kepahitan, kesedihan, penderitaan dan mengembalikan sukacita dalam hidup saudara2 kita. Begitu banyak tugas kita, tapi jangan khawatir, karena yang dituntut hanyalah kesediaan kita. Ketika kita bersedia, kasih karunia dan kekuatan Tuhanlah yang bekerja lewat kita. Kita tidak akan berguna jika kita masih mementingkan kepentingan pribadi semata, alias garam yang tidak keluar dari botolnya. Jagalah selalu diri anda agar tidak menjadi tawar, dengan tetap dekat dengan Tuhan lewat doa, pujian, penyembahan, membaca firman Tuhan dan mengucap syukur senantiasa. Dan mari kita semua menyalurkan berkat2 dari Allah kepada sesama kita.


Garam kecil bentuknya, namun banyak fungsinya. Jadilah garam dunia.
