Wild Orchid

This week, wild orchid suddenly came across my mind. Its not about this beautiful flower

....but about a music group who was famous with a list of hit songs such as At Night I Pray, Talk To Me, Supernatural etc...

I knew this group since i was in UiTM Kuching. I even owned the above album. hehe.. I simply love their voice..fuh!! what a powerful voice.

Then, I googled them and I found this:- (few info)

Wild Orchid (1991-2002) were a United States band, featuring Stacy Ann Ferguson (later of the Black Eyed Peas), Stefanie Ridel and Renee Ilene Standstrom (2 of them transplanted from Kids Incorporated).

At one time the pop trio were one of the best and most popular female vocal trios in the music business. Wild Orchid began while the girls were only in their mid-teens. They signed a music publishing deal with Sony, and soon had a label bidding war going.

In 1997 Wild Orchid released their self-titled debut album Wild Orchid. The largely self-written album sold nearly a million units worldwide, and included Billboard hits "Talk To Me" (a record that made Wild Orchid one of the few female groups in history to debut in the Top 10 of the Billboard Dance Chart, and was included in the hit movie Fools Rush in), "At Night I Pray," a pop ballad that spent 5 months on the Billboard Hot 100 and "Supernatural," which spent an amazing 5 months on the Billboard R&B Singles Chart. The album also received 2 Billboard Award nominations for "Talk To Me," 2 Lady Of Soul - Soul Train Award nominations, one for Album of The Year by A Group, Band or Duo and Best Music Video, for "Talk To Me" and an American Music Award nomination for Favorite R&B/Soul New Artist.
